Sephora Haul

Recently while I was visiting my family in DC, I just had to make a stop by Sephora. There were several products I’d had my eyes on and, as always, I found some other items I “needed.” I’ve had two weeks to try these items out and I have to say I love them all. If I don’t love something, I don’t keep it. Especially with Sephora’s amazing return policies. Below are short reviews of each product.

YSL Touche Eclat Illuminating Foundation
I did a full review of this foundation here. It is currently my all time favorite. So luminous and the color is beyond beautiful. I already own this foundation in B50 for the summer months, but the shade is much too dark for me in the winter – and I just can’t live without it for a couple months! So I purchased BR20 so that I can wear the color alone or mix it with B50 for a medium shade. Originally, I didn’t plan on buying BR (beige rose), because the coloring is pink and I didn’t want it to make me look red. However, so far I see no issues with the pink undertone.

YSL Gloss Volupte 20 Nude Carat
I also did a full review of this lipgloss here. The smell is intoxicating and I love the sheer tone.

Marc Jacobs The Face 1 Liquid Foundation Brush
Omg! Marc Jacobs makes the best brushes. I also own the bronzer brush which is exceptionally soft. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about a fluffier foundation brush but the application is fantastic! The bristles are still compact enough that your liquid foundation doesn’t slide all around your face. Hands down the only foundation brush I will use from now on. Definitely worth the $$$$.

YSL Blush Volupte 4
I was so happy to view and try these blushes in person. It can be very frustrating trying to pick out colors online, because usually they are different from what you expected when they arrive in the mail. The packaging is gorgeous and very light. The color I picked, 4, is the perfect baby doll pink. The powder does apply rather light, but gets pinker with each application.

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Oil Free
Laura Mercier’s Foundation Primer is just as good as the reviews! I was told by a friend that I just had to try it and have been wondering every since. A lot of primers make my skin break out, but so far that hasn’t been an issue, not once. This primer is a lightweight water based gel, so its much more like a lotion than many of the silicone based primers. I have no complaints and have a feeling this will be the only primer I ever use.

As always, I’ve already started putting new items in my Sephora online basket. I like to put things I can’t live without in my cart so that when I’m ready to buy I remember.

See you beauties on Thursday!
