Today’s Face It Friday is the first Steal or Splurge. I’ve had both of these products in my collection for quite some time and use them interchangeably to disguise darkness under my eyes. One is technically a concealer and the other a brightener, but both serve a similar purpose and I use them same way. Before putting on my foundation I will use one or the other to cancel out any darkness below my bottom lash line. It makes a big difference! Below are the pros and cons of both.
NYX Dark Circle Concealer. I picked this up hoping it would be a dupe for my Becca under eye brightener, and it’s a close competition. Plus you can’t beat the price!
Pros: the price (duh), non-sticky consistency, darkness correcting hint of orange, great spot corrector
Con: lack of illumination, the packaging – I wish the opening of the container were a little bit wider, because it can be hard to get the product out with your finger once you start using it up (granted, you can always use a concealer brush instead)
Becca Cosmetics Under Eye Brightening Corrector.  I purchased this after hearing great things from bloggers and YouTubbers alike, and it hasn’t disappointed. It took me a little while to become attached, but after many mornings of application, I reach for it daily.
Pros: Infused with ultrafine light-reflecting illuminators, creamy, illuminating, preps skin for smooth concealer application, no parabens
Cons: stickier consistency (you’ll have to set under eye with powder)

The weekend is already here again – thank goodness for a three day week! I hope you’ll be doing something fun or relaxing. I’ll be soaking up some sun, attending girl’s night and enjoying lots of Heidi cuddles. I’ll also be working on a much requested hair post for next Friday!
