MY KENTUCKY HOME TOUR!

I’ve been meaning to share my simple Easter tablescape & a deviled eggs recipe ever since I picked up these cute rabbit & egg plates. I love the blush + bunny combo! I picked up four sets for my round table in my kitchen. And even though I won’t be able to entertain anyone at my house this year, I still love how they look sitting out. Gives the house a little something extra this week.

I even found the cutest bunny coffee mug!

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • 6 eggs
  • mustard (1/8 teaspoon)
  • mayonnaise (2 1/2 teaspoons)
  • white vinegar (use as desired – I like a lot!)
  • paprika
  • salt & pepper

I’ve made deviled eggs enough times to feel I have finally mastered the hard-boiled egg. If you don’t do it just right, your eggs may be underdone or really hard to peel. Fun fact: eggs near expiration will be easier to peel!

  • place eggs in a pot and fill with water until eggs are covered
  • put the pot on the stove on high until water comes to a boil
  • once boiling, remove from heat and cover with a lid
  • let sit for 15 minutes
  • after 15 minutes, pour out the water and replace with ice water
  • once eggs are chilled, pat dry and carefully crack the shell on a paper towel or plate… if done correctly, the shell should break easily
  • once peeled, slice egg down the middle with a knife, removing yoke with a spoon and placing yoke into a bowl (egg halves go on the egg plate)
  • mix yolks together with mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, and a dash of salt & pepper using a fork and combining until as smooth as possible
  • top eggs with yolk mixture and add as much paprika as desired
  • I like to chill before serving!

Hoping all of you have a wonderful Easter. I know some of us will be spending the holiday alone, while others will be working to keep us all afloat. Some will be praying for loved ones in the hospital, for those working in the hospital, and for health and prosperity to come back to the world. It’s a good time to reflect and to hold hope for better months ahead. I’m sending love and hugs to all!

If you haven’t seen it yet, make sure to check out my last post featuring a spring IG round-up!
