Which means get-togethers, parties, and family events will soon be on the calendar. I never pass up a good reason to get dressed up and dolled up… and I reserve a red lip almost exclusively for December. This year I chose the perfect bright red from Giorgio Armani at Nordstrom and paired it with a pretty pink cheek, long lashes, and luminous foundation.

LUMINOUS SILK FOUNDATION || I’ve gotten quite a few questions over the years blogging about Giorgio Armani’s luminous silk foundation. It’s a cult favorite in the beauty world and definitely for good reason. It has a beautiful consistency – it’s lightweight and fluid, but still gives great coverage that is, like the name states, luminous, and is a great year-round product to have on hand. I wear shade 5.5. I also have to say, I love how chic the packaging is… nothing better than a beautiful foundation sitting out on your vanity. 

LUMINOUS SILK COMPACT || This product is new to me, and wow, I wish I’d tried it sooner. This product can be worn alone and is buildable, but I chose to place it on top of my foundation for a more flawless finish. I love that the colors pair perfectly with the foundation (I chose shade 5) so that it doesn’t alter the color. Great for the girl on the go for easy application, or for the holiday when you want a little more coverage and staying power for a fun party!

NEO NUDE A-BLUSH || I adore this pink blush! I’m normally averse to liquid blushes and highlighters because they can break down powders if placed on top. Obviously, you can place this under your powder as well, but I always worry it will dull the color. This baby pink is perfect for a feminine cheek and I think it pairs perfectly with the bright red lip. I placed a couple dots on the apples of my cheeks and carefully pressed it into the skin – a little goes a long way!

ROUGE DARMANI MATTE LIPSTICK || This red lipstick might just be my favorite of all time. The consistency is absolutely perfect because it’s a matte that is long-wearing but it isn’t drying to the lips. I love that it’s a bright more orange-based red that really makes a statement. For this look, I wanted the lip to be the star of the show and usually keep the eyes simple when wearing a statement lip. (**btw lip liner sold out but is color 5)
