Happy New Year’s Eve, Friends! It’s hard to believe it’s the very last day of the year. Boy, has 2017 been a wild ride! A cross-country move, a new home, making the blog an LLC, and loads of new memories. I hope that all of you have had a year full of happiness, love, new experiences, and opportunities to learn. Remember, even  trying times have lessons to be learned and you’ll have a fresh new start tomorrow!

I am absolutely over the moon with this outfit pairing. I’ve been wanting to incorporate some velvet pieces into my wardrobe since it’s very on trend and I found the perfect way to do it. This off the shoulder wrap top is not only beautiful, but quite figure flattering. It also stays on well when you move around! The midi skirt is a total winner because it’s so pretty and fits well on a petite frame. I had several questions about the length… I’m 5’2″ and it’s perfect! It would also wear well on taller frames as well. The color combo is a new favorite of mine and navy is going to be every where this Spring (the new black). I paired this top/skirt combo with my navy tiered tassel earrings for a subtle flair and a mauve faux fur crossbody that is only $20 (and super soft to the touch)! One of my favorite accessories is the layered necklace. It falls in the perfect place on the neck, is the perfect pop of pizzazz, and is only $15… a total steal!

I hope that all of you have an amazing and safe NYE. Justin and I are planning to stay in so I’ll be trading this glam outfit for my pj’s and slippers. My plan is to be in bed before midnight… okay, okay… we will try and make it at least until 12:01 am haha. We love our cozy nights at home with Heidi so there’s no where we’d rather be to start off 2018. Does anyone else feel guilty when they don’t celebrate holidays with their pets?! I expect a big wet kiss from my sweet girl at midnight!

Btw… how cute is Heidi’s face in that last photo? Oh, how I love her.
