Recently, on Instagram, I asked what kinds of content you’d like to see more of on the blog. And I had tons of requests for business casual outfits. So I posted a poll asking how many of you can wear jeans to work, and more than 60% said yes. Of the percentage that can’t wear jeans every day, most said they can on Fridays (as long as they don’t have holes). So today I’m styling an all-black business casual outfit with my fave nondistressed black denim and a conservative black poplin bow top.

I decided to style an all-black business casual outfit because most of you probably already have something similar in your closets! A monochromatic look is perfect for the office because, even though the pieces may be casual, it elevates the overall look. AND if you can’t wear jeans at all, you could simply switch them out for skinny/straight ankle-length black pants!

The Look…

These black jeans are a great staple because they aren’t distressed and can be worn so many different ways. I own this denim style in three colors and find they run true to size (wearing a 24). I also love that they aren’t too long – no hemming required and I’m only 5’2″.

I’m so sad that my top just sold out. I checked this past weekend before we took pictures and there were lots of sized available. Now it looks like it’s only available in pink so I linked lots of similar/comparable items with pretty detailing that would look great with the rest of the pieces.

If you don’t wear heels, you could easily wear this look with a pair of black flats. My suede black pumps are almost sold out but this style is always in stock in different styles… patent, leather, textured. I use to wear these all of the time in my corporate job and they are quite comfortable (true to size).

Lastly, I’ve been loving this pearl belt! I like that it’s not one I see very often and the detailing really stands out against a look that is all one color. I bought mine in a size 75 because I can wear it around my waist or on my hips.

Don’t miss Monday’s post here!
