Hello, Friends!

I have a special beauty post for you today. Talking about a product you use every day and probably don’t think much about. I know I haven’t in quite a while. Not until recently when I was looking for a travel-friendly deodorant to take on our nine-day east coast excursion. Like many people, I’ve been using the same deodorant for years and years and I always buy the same one because it’s familiar and there’s are SO many at the drugstore to choose from. So how do you decide? And why should you choose something new?

I decided to upgrade from my regular deodorant because I knew on our trip we would have long travel days, changing weather conditions, hot humidity, and hours of house hunting (if you didn’t know, we are moving to the east coast next month!). Plus, I’ve noticed that I always end up with embarrassing white marks on my clothing, especially if I’m wearing black (which I wear all of the time). So I took a quick trip to the drugstore to see what I could find that would keep me dry and fresh during hot travel days, nervewracking house hunts, and that wouldn’t stain my tops.

I ended up purchasing Degree’s Clinical Protection Shower Clean Antiperspirant Deodorant. I’ve never worn an antiperspirant before but thought the prescription strength clinical protection might be a better option in the 115 degree California weather, trudging through the airport, and running from house to house. And you know what?! I am so incredibly pleased! Even though the product is advertised as mainly focused on clinical protection, it hasn’t left one white mark on my clothes. I’ve worn it every day for the past week and find that it dries fast and sinks into the skin, as opposed to sitting and balling up into a mess…isn’t that the worst?!

In addition to clinical protection, you’ll find deodorants out there that are specially designed to prevent white marks, are motion activated , and that place an emphasis on care. You can do deo better by choosing a product that fits your lifestyle and your needs. Whether you’re an athlete, you suffer from excessive perspiration, you’d like to keep your underarms smooth, or you’re tired of holding your shirt like a tent when you put it on to avoid white stains. I know I never put much thought into it so I was excited to share all of this info with you fabulous ladies and lads! Hopefully, it will help you choose the right one for you and make the deodorant aisle a lot less anxiety inducing. Your deodorant should suit you!
