For today’s Motivation Monday I’m talking about something I never have before – color psychology! Maybe that’s a little random but lately, I’ve been focused on happiness, less stress, and a contentment, and this plays into that really well. If you don’t know about color psychology it’s the way different colors make you feel and think. For example, blue can make you feel relaxed, red excitement, green less stressful, and pink feminine and calm. It’s quite interesting! Companies even use color studies to figure out which hues to use for their advertisements and logos, etc. to evoke the right emotion and/or action.
Today’s outfit of choice is a FABULOUS blush dress under $49, making it a fantastic purchase and a really versatile wardrobe addition. I’m planning to wear mine for brunches, get together’s, and maybe even some wedding festivities for friends. Pink or blush has always been one of my favorite hues and I’ve never really thought about why. I do know it makes me quite happy and when I’m wearing it, usually feel even better about my appearance! So here’s a little bit more about pink:
Many times pink is associated with love and romance – and who doesn’t love that?! It’s also known to have a calming effect, which I would have never guessed. It can also be described as a feminine color and can be associated with softness, kindness, nurturing, and compassion (Reference:https://www.verywell.com/the-color-psychology-of-pink-2795819)

I hope all of you have a fabulous Monday and a great start to your week. Mine is going to be a busy one, as I’m leaving to go to Vegas this coming weekend. I’m super excited to see some of my best friends from the east coast and to get in some vaca time. I’d like to say relaxation, but we will see about that. I’ve heard Vegas never sleeps haha! I seriously don’t think I’ve ever thought so hard about what to wear in my life. My wardrobe is quite sparse when it comes to club wear and edgier pieces so I think I’m going to have to make one last mall run before I leave. If you have any recommendations for a first-time Vegas traveler, let me know!
