Drugstore Makeup Worth Buying

I am SO EXCITED to finally get up a drugstore beauty favorites post. Over the years I’ve had quite a few requests for drugstore recommendations or dupes and so many times I’ve tried and failed. I’m particularly picky about quality, smell, and consistency when it comes to makeup and it can take a lot of trial and error to find the gems among so many products being sold at the drugstore. Now, that’s not to say there aren’t tons of gems, it just takes a lot of testing and trying. Of the mass amount of beauty product I purchased from my haul, about half of it didn’t work (i.e. I didn’t like the colors, the smell, the color payoff, etc.). BUT I did find some things I love and can’t wait to share them!

Candy Yum Yum is one of my all time summer brights so when I saw Smashes I got really excited! Smashes is less opaque than Candy Yum Yum but on the lips the color and tone is very similar.

The Coppertone Glow has a slight shimmer making it a fun sunscreen alternative when you want your skin to, well, glow. The Neutrogena body mist is an AH-mazing find for a stunning sheen on the skin. I watched Jennifer Lopez’s makeup artist Scott Barnes use it in a tutorial for photoshoots!

Love the color tone of this foundation. I had a really hard time finding shades in the drugstore that weren’t too orange. This is a beautiful color and the consistency and wearability is great!

OBSESSED! I’ve been wearing this blush every single day since I got it. It’s the prettiest bright.

Really impressed with the formula and stay power of the infallible full wear concealer. I actually like it better than shape tape (gasp!) and have been wearing it just as much as my higher end concealers. I like to pair it with the purple toned ink corrector by Peripera. I’ve gotten lots of questions about where this is in the drugstore and it is fairly difficult to find. I found mine in CVS towards the back of the store, on the bottom shelf, across from the nail polish and cotton balls.

I love telescopic because it has a nice, thin brush. I’ve been trying to grow my lashes out from having extensions and need something thinner that can catch all the small lashes growing in. Thicker bristles just make a mess for me right now (sighhh). The Essence mascara is amazing for fullness and length!

Please note, I haven’t used the drugstore sponge on the left yet… but I HAD to pick it up after noticing the very stark resemblance to the original Beauty Blender. I will say, after taking it out of the package, the consistency is much different (you can see the rougher, less dense consistency in the picture) so I’m really interested to see how this works!
