Happy Friday Friends!

Guess what?! Today is my one year anniversary of moving to California!! Can you believe that?! I sure can’t. A year ago today I was on an airplane with Heidi headed out to the west coast (jobless) to start a new beginning, and oh how wonderful it has been. It goes to show that change can be so beneficial and that if you listen to your gut, it’ll be sure to lead you the right way. I never in a million years would have thought I’d be a Californian, but here I am, loving it! I’m so excited because we are having a special date night tonight at our favorite restaurant to celebrate and are finally opening a really nice bottle of wine my dad bought us for a special occasion. MMmmm!

I have a lot of other fun things to share today. A fun, spring-inspired outfit with a pop of pink + my February favorites! Above you’ll find one of my all time favorite outfits that I know I’ll be wearing on repeat for months to come. My tank, shorts, clutch and statement necklace are incredibly affordable and such fabulous basics. I plan on wearing the tank with palazzo pants and skinny jeans, and the shorts with tanks in bright colors. I would seriously buy every color of these shorts if they had more options! My pink pumps are so much fun and a statement all their own. And reallyyy comfortable! I’ve been swaying between a 7.5 and a 7 in shoes lately and the 7 fits like a glove.

You’ll find more about my shorts and shoes in my February Favorites below.

1 // BP. Print Swing Shorts I am so excited about these shorts! I’ve never been much of a shorts girl but these look darling on, thanks to the swing shape and are incredibly comfy! The flowy cut is actually quite flattering to the leg and if you put your legs together almost gives the illusion of a skirt. Plus, they are under $40 so you can’t beat it. Obviously, I’m loving them as you can see by all the photos above.

2 // Kat Von D Lock-It Concealer (L5) Recently, I wrote a post all about my eye brightening routine and then purchased this concealer after the fact. I’ve acquired some great drugstore concealers lately but wanted something much more full coverage. My MAC Prolongwear concealer has to be thrown away because it’s old so I took a quick trip to Sephora. A while back I received a trial size version of this product and have carried it in my purse for touch ups ever since. After buying the full-size version in the color Light 5 neutral, I am totally in love. It’s very full coverage without looking cakey and has incredible staying power. Highly recommend!

3 // Hot Pink Hazel Pointy Toe Pump I can’t say enough good things about these shoes. They aren’t something I would call practical with their bright pink color, but they are an item I’ll wear over and over again with neutral dresses or even a solid tee and jeans. I was shocked at how comfortable they are even for someone like me with a very shallow foot. I think it’s okay to splurge once in a while on items like this if it’s something one-of-a-kind you’re sure to wear a lot!

4 // Smile Brilliant Teeth Whitening (c/o) This month I decided it was time for a whitening touch up, thanks to my daily cup of coffee! Back in December, I did a post with Smile Brilliant all about whitening and how it worked well for my sensitive teeth. Whitening is great but you have to make sure and maintenance it every once in a while. Luckily, Smile Brilliant sent me some additional syringes with whitening and desensitizing gel so I can keep my pearly whites, well, white. I’ve found that it’s become an easier part of my routine and something I like to do before bed. Waking up with a brighter smile never hurts! The company has been so kind to extend a 10% discount if you visit www.smilebrilliant.com/g/pardonmuah. If you have sensitive teeth and have struggled with other whiteners or in office procedures, definitely give this a try! You can see the before and after photo here

5 // MAC 137 Blush Brush After cleaning out my makeup collection several times lately, I realized I love MAC goat hair brushes more than any others I own. They are so soft and apply makeup flawlessly every time. The shape of this brush is different from any I own for blush and originally I wasn’t quite sure it would work, but oh my gosh, it sure does! It picks up plenty of product and dusts it ever so softly onto the cheeks. A must-have!

6 // MAC135 Bronzer Brush To go along with the 137 I purchased the 135 for bronzer. Lately, I’ve been using an angled brush to do my bronzer and although I like it, I wanted to try something new. And this little baby did the trick! Again, super soft and luxurious. It covers more area than an angled brush and is perfect for days where you don’t need to be so precise adding color to your skin.

7 // MAC Saint Germain Amplified Lipstick This is my go-to pink for pictures. It photographs so well and it a perfect hot pink. I owned one last year, but since it was getting old, replaced it the other day with a new one. I need to be more daring and wear it for more than just pictures because it’s such a pretty shade and is perfect for spring and summer. Plus, it looks good on a variety of skin tones.

8 // Maybelline Purely Nude 535 Matte Lipstick Another new lippie fav is this nude by Maybelline. Keep in mind, it’s a light nude, because those are always my go-to. If you have a dark complexion or like a darker nude there are so many in the nudes matte collection to choose from. If you click on the link you can preview all of the other shades! What I love about this particular matte lipstick is that it is still quite creamy in nature and doesn’t sink into the creases of your lips.

9 // NYX Color Correcting Concealer Palette I also talked about this palette in my eye brightening routine. It’s a fantastic drugstore find and really does its job! I’ve been using the yellow to cancel out darkness under my eye and the purple to brighten. The product is opaque enough that it creates a great base for foundation and concealer, making the eyes look much more awake and bright. Some days I use both color and some days I don’t. The yellow has been my go-to no matter what!

10 // Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette Okay, this blush trio is sooo worth the money. I got it a while back and used it non stop. Then sort of forgot about it and then reintroduced myself recently and fell back in love. It may not look like it at first glance, but these Hourglass blushes are so pigmented and create such a beautiful luminousity on the skin. I’ll even take my brush and blend all of the colors together!
