Good Morning! Today came bright & early, and as always, I have a lot to accomplish this coming week. Luckily, I got pretty caught up with my blog emails and collabs this weekend, and cannot wait to share soon! The always patient Justin (aka the bf) helped me take ten different outfit photos on Saturday, which was such a help and now I have lots of pictures to play with. Lots of great fall outfits coming your way!

For today’s post I decided to talk about skin care and some of the products I’ve used to reduce redness. Facial redness for the past couple months has been my primary skin concern and it’s something I find quite annoying. I’ve been able to keep in under control with the products in this post, and as long as I stick to my daily skincare routine, my skin seems to stay happy. But let’s be honest, there are always those nights where we don’t feel like makeup removing, cleansing, exfoliating, prepping, and priming, etc. etc. etc. It happens, and when it does, I’ve got a couple go-to products I reach for. Here is what I use and why I love them:
1. Rodan Fields Soothe Sensitive Skin TreatmentClaims to: “Reduce the appearance of redness and calms irritation to help restore a smooth, clear, healthy-looking complexion.” I’ve been using this product for several weeks, thanks to my sweet Rodan Fields consultant, Sharmaine (you can shop with her here). I told her my main skincare concern was redness and she recommended the soothe line. I have very sensitive skin and have seen no irritation or break outs since using. I like to use before my moisturizer in the morning and it does feeling “soothing” to the skin. I would definitely recommend!

2. SkinCeuticals Phyto Corrective Gel. Claims to: “Soothe and calm irritated skin. Optimal for sensitive or problematic skin.” I did an entire post on this product here. It’s a corrective gel made for use on the face, neck, arms, chest, and back of the hands. This was the first redness reducing product I used and it absolutely changed my skin. I’ve been using it since March, morning and night, when not using the soothe treatment, after washing my face, and before my moisturizer. Two thumbs up!

3. Pixi by Petra Hydrating Milky Mist. Claims to: “Moisturize, prep and hydrate.” This is the newest product in my collection and I’ve been loving it! I use every morning before applying my makeup so my skin is nice and hydrated. It isn’t designed as a “redness reducing” product, but the more hydrated and moisturized I keep my skin, the more likely it is to stay calm. This mist also has a faint, but very pleasant scent!
I hope each and every one of you had an awesome weekend! Justin and I definitely made the most of some much needed relaxation time. The weather here in Northern California is pretty dreary and the “rainy season” is coming our way, so it’s a good time to enjoy indoor activities like movies and reading. Justin is a huge Harry Potter fan and I’ve never read the series, so I just started book #1 on Saturday. I figure once I finish them we can go to Harry Potter World, and October is the perfect month to read them!
