Monday again. How quickly they roll around, especially if you have a busy weekend prior. Justin took off last Friday so my days have been totally messed up lol. His brother came to stay with us Friday night – Sunday afternoon so I tried to take a small break from social media as it feels super wrong to be stuck to my phone and computer while hosting a guest, even though it’s family, and even though he doesn’t care – he’s so sweet he took Justin and I’s first photo together in front of the new house!

I got a couple dm’s on IG this weekend asking if I was going to share any Fourth of July outfit ideas and it made me realize I really needed to get on the ball, as the 4th is only nine days away! Where in the world did the first part of the year go?!

Above you’ll find a cute & casual Fourth of July outfit idea I would totally wear if J and I had somewhere to go. Let’s be honest we’ll probably get tacos per usual and call it a day haha! Lately, in the hot weather, I’ve been loving a practical pair of high waist distressed denim shorts (the pair I’ve included are under $50), a cute top (only $30), and wedges. These tan wedges under $80 are SUPER popular right now and I’m shocked they are even still available (you could also get them in white which would be perfect for the holiday). I paired the top, bottoms, and shoes with a fab straw tote under $80 (perfect if you’re headed to the beach or the pool), some star-shaped hoop earrings, trendy sunglasses, and a festive denim jacket under $100 (you’ll find a few others below). I love to keep a lightweight layering piece with me for outdoor summer activities like fireworks because you never know if it’ll get chilly. 


And lastly, a pretty red lipstick. I’m not really a huge wearer of the color red, and I recommend if you ever need to incorporate a color you don’t normally keep handy in your closet, lipstick is always a good way to go (well, unless the color is blue or green maybe haha)!
