I’m trying to get back to blogging more consistently this week! I was publishing less originally in anticipation of switching everything over to my new site but it looks like that won’t be for another couple of weeks. BUT, I am so so excited to share it with all of you… I haven’t even seen the first draft of the site (we did all of the branding & collateral first)… I just know I’m going to love it!

Today’s dot top post started out as a photo sesh for a single Instagram photo but I couldn’t decide on my favorite so I thought, “What the heck! I’ll just post them all to the blog.” I honestly can’t remember the last time I did an outdoor at-home photoshoot for a blog outfit (it takes me back to when I first started blogging) but hey, if you like your photos then go for it! I took these photos by myself with my tripod, bluetooth remote (all of the equipment is in my recent blog post), and iPhone 8 Plus.

I was so pleased when Cece sent over this dappled dot off the shoulder stretch cotton blouse. The sleeve detailing with the oversized shape and bow ties is everything! I’m also a sucker for an off the shoulder look. It comes in two colors (also white) and is a really nice quality (not at all see through). I thought it would look cute tucked in to accentuate the waist since the arms are so exxageratted.

I’ve been on the hunt, since last year, for a high waisted denim skirt that is basic in style and really good quality (i.e. a true denim). This is my favorite denim brand of ALL TIME so I had a feeling this skirt would be good… and it is! I love that I get the high waisted look but still have enough material at the bottom to not tug at it constantly to cover my rear. It would also look cute with a white tee and a pair of sneakers (planning to wear with my new Golden Goose that are still ON SALE!).

My tan top handle bag (also comes with a crossbody strap) is only $50 and exceeded my expectations. I wanted to purchase so I could share an affordable bag alternative but never thought it would be so cute. I love the unique detailing of the handle, the shape, the pom (comes with), and the inside pockets that make it easy to store all the necessities on the go.

Okay… let’s chat headbands. I recently discovered Lele Sadoughi and at first was awestruck by the pricing. But then I started seeing and hearing such good things I figured I might as well take the plunge and see what all the hype is about. And OH EM GEE the comfort! Never in my life have I owned a headband that didn’t hurt my head by the end of the day… or after 30 minutes in some cases. These are without a doubt superior quality and worth the splurge if you want to make it. But, I know that not everyone can (or wants to) spend $50-$150 on a headband, so I found an almost identical dupe online (please note, I cannot speak to the quality as I don’t own it).
