I cannot even tell you all how excited I am for today’s Halloween makeup tutorial! I know it’s a little bit early to start talking costumes, but I always find it’s better to be prepared! And when it comes to makeup, it’s so much fun to practice ahead of time! I decided to create a fab, feminine leopard look this year – full of fun beauty products you can find at eBay.

STEP ONE // fix hair + put on outfit This seems simple but I find it easiest to do my hair before my makeup so that it’s not in the way. I also like to get dressed ahead of time so it doesn’t mess up my hair and makeup.

STEP TWO // complete your face makeup I had makeup on prior to starting this tutorial and is really helped speed up the process. Foundation, powder, bronzer, a peachy-toned blush, etc. Feel free to be heavier handed with the bronzer and blush so that it really shows through after applying everything else.

** note: my under eye area got a little messy while I was doing my liquid eyeliner and I fixed that after with concealer!

STEP THREE // eyeshadow, liner & lashes I like to start with the eyes just in case shadow falls or liner needs a touch up. I took my fall-toned eyeshadow palette and placed a light brown into the crease, followed by dark oranges/reds concentrated on the outside corner. Once that was done I took my liquid liner and drew large wings up from the bottom of my eye towards the end of my brow. This part is fun because you don’t have to be quite as precise as usual – go crazy! I also lined underneath my eyes with the same liquid liner to give that cat eye definition (in addition to the corners).

Additionally, before drawing on the bottom liner, I took my white multistick and lined my waterline and directly under my lash line with white for a larger than life eye look. Last, I applied my lashes! I also used the paint palette for my undereye and brows. I took the lighter brown middle color and an angled liner brush to give my brows some definition and a color similar to the rest of the look. I used the bottom middle color under my eyes after I had cleaned up any fall out and liner mistakes. It helped to create a beautiful bright undereye and the tone is perfect for this leopard look.

STEP FOUR // draw on your nose, lips, and wiskers This part is really pretty easy! I took my black multistick (it’s a nice thickness for covering more area) and drew a heart shape on the end of my nose, filled it in, and then also colored in down the sides of my nostrils (I did put a little inside so that you couldn’t see my white). Then I drew a thin line straight from the bottom of my nose to my upper lip where I colored it in completely with black liquid lipstick (fyi, let it dry before closing your lips or it will get all over your bottom lip where you don’t want black coloring).

Next, I took my liquid liner and drew wings out from the sides of my upper lip to resemble more of a cat-shaped mouth. Using that same liquid liner, I lightly swept on some whiskers. Then used a normal black eyeliner pencil to carefully dab dots above my upper lip. The lower lip was probably my favorite because of the gold coloring. I used a mauve colored lip liner to line and partially fill in my lower lip. Then on top, I took a loose gold pigment on an eyeshadow brush and dabbed that onto the center of my lip (I even added a little of the gold eyeliner!).

STEP FIVE // the leopard spots! This was by far my favorite part. What makes a leopard costume so iconic are the spots, and I found them very easy to draw on. I used my liquid liner pen (because it’s easier to control) and drew different sized c’s and almost closed circles all over my forehead and down towards my nose. Once those were drawn I took my gold liquid liner and filled them in carefully without covering the black outline (which you can easily go over after if needed).
