Goodness Gracious! I did not mean to take almost an entire week off from blogging. I think this is the longest I’ve gone without a post, maybe ever. If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you know Justin and I were on a trip to Las Vegas for the past several days. We went for J’s birthday and also his stepdad who turned 50. It was so much fun because not only did Justin and I go, but also his family and their friends! We had a blast and it was really nice to unplug for a couple of days.

Our Vegas trip was my second, and J’s third trip to LV. Neither of us are big partiers so we didn’t get into anything crazy or stay up extraordinarily late. I did, however, play digital roulette and actually won some money! It was so much fun and super unexpected. I could win a dollar and still think it was the best experience ever haha – as long as I come out ahead. I will definitely do a separate post soon talking more about our experience, where we stayed, ate, what shows we saw, etc. 

I’ve been getting lots of requests for holiday attire so today’s post is the first! I know Christmas is only TEN DAYS away so I’ll try and keep em’ coming. Hopefully, the looks I create can be recreated with items you already have if you run out of time to order before Christmas. For example, a belted coat. I randomly belted this cozy pink number when making outfits for Vegas and fell in love. I didn’t end up bringing this coat but I did bring the belt for a leopard jacket and it ended up looking just as cute!

My heart-shaped velvet belt is perfect for wearing over a coat because it doesn’t have notches. It simply slides through and can be tightened to your liking! Then after you take off your coat, you can also wear it with your outfit. Items like dresses or high waist skirts are great options.

My over the knee boots were my splurge purchase of the season. I’ve been eyeing them for months and finally managed to snag them on major sale. I’ve linked them to two different retailers, in addition to a pair I own that are much more affordable. They make the perfect addition to a winter holiday outfit because they keep your legs warm when wearing a mini skirt or dress, both of which are really on trend! I also love that these OTK boots tie in the back, helping them to fit securely.
