h&m short corduroy skirt

Fall is finally in full swing (minus the hot, hot temps here in SWVA) so it’s time to talk corduroy! I actually saw some corduroy skirts this summer but for me, it’s a fabric that feels better when it gets cool outside. Great for in-between temps when you can still show a little leg but long sleeve and suede booties are appropriate. And OH! these suede booties are SO good (tts, very comfy)!

I shared this short corduroy skirt recently and it was so popular on Instagram I just had to style it in a different way for the blog. You can see my original styling HERE. It’s such a versatile and surprisingly comfortable staple piece for Fall. The perfect wardrobe addition! Corduroy is a great Autumnal fabric because it’s thick enough to look appropriate and keeps your tush warm lol. Skirts… mini skirts, in particular, are really on trend this season and there are so many ways to wear them.

You could pair this corduroy skirt with a chunky knit untucked OR tucked in the front, with a cardi and a pretty lace cami, with a tunic type of top where just the bottom of the skirt shows, or even with a cute casual band/distressed tee (another SUPER popular trend).

The top I chose to pair the skirt with is a really affordable and very comfortable long sleeve rib knit henley. I love that the colors go together seamlessly, and although similar, there is still enough contrast to keep the outfit interesting. And the best part? The top is only $35! Yes, $35. Another incredible Fall staple you can wear over and over and over. You could even pair this with a longer, more streamlined skirt for work with a nice pair of nude or leopard pumps!

Speaking of shoes, my black suede booties are one of my favorite purchases of the WHOLE YEAR! Which is really saying something y’all… because I’ve made a lot of purchases haha! They are definitely more of a splurge but absolutely worth it to me because of how often I will wear them, how long I will keep them, and how long I can wear them from a comfort perspective. And they are just so versatile and pair easily with all kinds of outfits.

I’ve linked two super similar hats, my leopard crossbody, and my arm candy below!
