Last week on What to Wear Where, I shared a trendy Thanksgiving Day outfit option. If your family or friends enjoy dressing up for the holiday, be sure to check that post out. This week, I wanted to change things up and share a more comfy, casual look, but it’s still just as chic. The look incorporates my favorite pair of faux leather leggings from Spanx, and I’m sharing an option on how to style them for Thanksgiving.

Faux leather leggings are a great staple to style multiple ways throughout the fall and winter. They’re comfortable to wear and a great alternative to wearing denim or plain black leggings. The quality of this particular pair from Spanx is amazing and will last you for many seasons to come. The faux leather leggings have a perfect balance of contouring technology, but still feel comfortable to wear throughout the day.

They run a bit small, and I size up to a small. I get the petite length, but they also have regular and tall lengths. Spanx’s website recommends that if you’re over 5’4″ to get the regular length. If you’re over 5’9″, they recommend the tall length. Another great legging option from Spanx is their faux suede leggings. Suede is another fabulous fabric to wear during the fall and winter months.

Fall-Inspired Graphic Tee

For a festive spin, I chose a fall-inspired graphic sweatshirt. Pink Lily has some really cute sweatshirts and t-shirts with a variety of sayings pertaining to fall. They’re perfect to dress up or dress down with sweatpants. I’m wearing a size small in my Pumpkin Spice sweatshirt for a bit of an oversized fit, and for more coverage in the back. I recommend sizing up one.

Snakeskin Boots

A sweatshirt and leggings will make all your comfort dreams come true on Thanksgiving. But to add a little sass to the look, I chose knee-high, snakeskin boots. Because the rest of the outfit features mostly solid colors, it’s nice to break it up with a fun print like snakeskin. You could also pair with a bootie too if you prefer those to knee-high boots. The pair I’m wearing run true to size.

Sherpa Coat

Because it generally starts to get pretty chilly around Thanksgiving in Lexington, some sort of outerwear is generally needed. I love this teddy sherpa double-breasted topcoat in the color adobe clay. It comes in sizes XXS to 3X and three other colors. Generally double-breasted coats look very dressy. But I love that it’s made of a sherpa material to make it look and feel a bit more casual. And right now as I type this, J.Crew is having a friends and family sale, and you can get the coat up to 40% off. The coat runs about a size big, and I’m wearing the XXS.

Accessorize the Look

To complete the look, I’m wearing oversized square sunnies. They look great even on a smaller-framed face. My Chloe tote shopper is perfect for carrying all the things to your friends’ or family’s house for the holidays. I recently reviewed the bag on IGTV, so be sure to check that out if you’re thinking about purchasing. I go into all the details about the bag there.
