How To Wear A Patterned Sweater

Another fun fall post today! This amazing patterned sweater was sent to me recently and I absolutely love the retro-inspired pattern. So many of you have asked about it that I thought I’d share a post showing how to style it in a way that is modern and trendy. I’ve been all about a good slouchy sweater lately, and this one definitely fits the bill… and it’s so comfortable, much like the one I wore in yesterday’s post.

 Even though this sweater is neutral, it has a lot going on, so I decided to keep the rest of my outfit understated. I love the look of a boyfriend jean and the front of the sweater tucked in. Since both pieces are slightly slouchy, tucking in gives some shape. I don’t know about you all, but I’m all about the half tucked trend! For accessories, I kept them all monochromatic in a color already in the sweater. You can never go wrong with black pumps – am I right?! The pair I have on is oh, so, comfortable and also great for work.

 My chunky pom beanie and fingerless mittens are from last year but I linked some very similar (and affordable) above and below. Fingerless gloves may seem silly but you’d be surprised how convenient they are when you need to talk or text on your phone. Otherwise, I usually have my hands in my jacket pockets so they never get cold. I also added a couple gold pieces of jewelry for a little pizzaz that match the gold detailing in the bag.
