Taking a quick break from my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale coverage to share a Prime Day fav… AND a five minute makeup beauty routine! I’ve been meaning to share a lower maintenance look for a while now but I wear a full face more times than not (which I know if probably backwards compared to most). But I’ve found some products that still make me feel glowy && alive on days I don’t have time, don’t have energy, or don’t have a lot of content to shoot for the blog or IG. 
And of course, to go with, you need a super chic, crazy affordable, cosmetic case (that also travels)…
and yes, it’s part of Prime Day!

OKAY… let’s talk about this travel makeup case. Chances are you’ve already seen 1,001 other bloggers and influencers chat about it but I do think it’s a travel & beauty must-have. I own a lot of makeup bags (because it’s an obsession of mine) BUT this is the only one I really trust if I have to check my bag when flying. It’s nice and substantial and hardsided so you don’t have to worry about your products getting smushed. Additionally, it has moveable compartments and a brush holder!

This Lune + Aster CC Cream tinted moisturizer is amazing! I originally saw it on my friend Kasey who has the most beautiful complexion I’ve ever seen… so I had to have it pronto. And I was amazed! I love to wear this to Pure Barre early in the morning for a bit of coverage and glow and I even get asked about my skin care routine since haha – it’s totally this product! I wear medium and love that it gives as much coverage as a foundation, the protection of spf 50+, and the glow of an illuminator.

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer is awesome! I got it during the Sephora sale earlier this year and have been using it non stop. I love that it gives great coverage (especially on no makeup makeup days if you have dark circles) but also has illuminating properties that don’t dry out under your eye. It makes you look awake, and like you slept in a high-end face cream. I wear light natural.

Soleil Tan De Chanel actually makes me look forward to natural makeup days. This product is the most beautiful consistency and smells amazing. I owned it a long time ago but wasn’t really sure how to use it, and now that I do I love it! Since it’s a cream consistency it’s best to use before any kind of powder. I like to place it over my foundation on my forehead, cheek contour, and a little on my nose.

FAVORITE POWDER OF LIFE! I literally can’t tell you how many of these NARS Translucent Pressed Powders I’ve gone through over the last couple of years. It’s the only powder I’ve used that keeps me matte, but not chalky or cakey, and that pairs well with any shade of foundation. It has a beautiful luminous property and lasts for quite a long time. I use a large fluffy brush to apply!

peripera velvet blush spring bloom

Peripera Velvet Blush (c/o) in spring bloom is an amazing cream blush! The company sent over a pr package and this product was in it. I immediately gravitated towards the color but am always cautious of creams because I like to powder before blush. But to my surprise it actually goes on beautifully even over a light veil of powder. The color is GORGEOUS and perfect for summer.

What a combo! The Loreal Voluminous Primer is a holy grail and I’ve owned too many to count. It’s amazing at extending and thickening lashes – I apply and wait around a minute before applying my mascara. My current favorite is Chanel’s Le Volume De Chanel – I feel like it applies evenly and noticeably without having to put on too many coats. 

Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel is a must-have. Days I wear little makeup I usually only apply a clear brow gel to keep things in place. I also use it over my colored gel on full makeup days.

After trying the lune + aster cc cream I was really interested in what else they had to offer. So while in DC shopping The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale with my mom, we ran over to bluemercury to check things out. I found this super pretty Vitamin C+E Lip Gloss in the shade poet and have worn it almost every day since. It give the lips a pretty sheen of pink and it’s nice and shiny but not sticky.
