1. MAC 133 Brush. I wish I’d had this brush in my life so much sooner. It’s been months and months since I purchased any new brushes, but recently I found myself in need of one for highlighting. So I turned to MAC – their brushes are amazing quality and I love the soft texture of the ones with natural hair. I ended up choosing the 133 and it’s perfect! Small enough to place highlight in just the right place, but fluffy enough so the application isn’t too heavy handed.

2. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. This concealer has wonderful coverage and staying power. It’s been over 100 degrees here in California for several weeks now, and I haven’t had any complaints about my makeup melting. I wear the lightest shade, with a bit of a pink undertone, so it really brightens underneath my eyes. Plus, it’s a fraction of the price of all my other concealers, brighteners and highlighters.

3. Becca Champagne Pop.  I’m probably the last person in earth to get on the Champagne Pop band wagon, but I’d never been able to justify purchasing, and honestly I didn’t think the color would look right on my skin. But after Jacyln Hill debuted her limited edition face palette with Becca, I had to have it. And let me tell you…money well spent! I’ve been mixing Champagne Pop with Prosecco Pop and love, love, love the beautiful radiance it adds to my skin. Lately, I’ve been trying to be much more minimalistic with my makeup, so I’ll use my foundation, concealer, a light powder, a dusting of bronzer, and then a swipe of highlighter over my cheekbones and it looks so light and fresh.

4. Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous Foundation. To my shock and awe I found a second drugstore foundation I like. This recommendation came from the beautiful Alexandrea Garza. She said she’s loved it for years and that it gives very full coverage. I picked it up in the closest shade I could find to my Maybelline Fit Me, and am very happy with the color. And the coverage is superb. I don’t own a lot of full coverage foundations, because sometimes they can look cakey, but that hasn’t been the case with this one. It’s perfect for those days when you have a couple imperfections to conceal or for special events.

5. Target Tassel Keychain. As many of you know, I’ve been on one heck of a Target kick lately. I ran into the store to pick up some office supplies the other day and saw this little tassel baby on the front display. It’s under $5 and can also be used as a bag charm. You need one in your life!

6. Orly “La Selfie”. I am literally in love with this nail color. I was on the hunt the for a “Barbie” pink when I noticed Orly’s new gel-like polishes. This color caught my eye and it is literally the definition of “Barbie” pink. I had to open the bottle to actually get a good look, because the outside packaging is much darker than the actual color. They also sell a sealing top coat, but I ended up using one I already had at home. So far no chipping and I always chip my polish in the first couple days.

7. Make & Model Sweat Pants. Without a doubt, these are the most comfortable sweat pants I’ve ever worn. They are decently affordable and come in multiple colors. I’m tempted to buy a couple more, because I wear them every night. I actually do laundry just so I’ll have my favorite sweats when I get home from work.

8. Maybelline Fit Me Powder. For many years now I have only used translucent powder to set my foundation and my under eye. But I figured since I love the Fit Me foundation so much, and I knew which color to choose, I decided to give the powder a try as well. And shocker, loved it! It’s great for touch ups when you feel like you may need more coverage throughout the day. It has just enough color to conceal patchy spots and to keep your makeup in place. I’ve worn it for several weeks now and am very happy!

9. NARS Translucent Pressed Powder. This is an oldie but a goodie. I’ve gone through numerous pans of this pressed powder, but took a break from it for a while trying to save money. But sometimes you can’t beat your favorites! This is one of the only powders that keeps me matte all throughout the day. Right now I’m keeping it in my purse for touch ups. It’s perfect because the packaging is thin and the light translucent powder won’t mess up your makeup. Plus it’s pressed so it won’t explode in your bag.
10. Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless Foundation. This product changed the way I think about foundation. I’ve always been a high-end, luxury foundation girl, but lately I just can’t afford to spend $45-$60, and of course all of my products are running out. I hadn’t heard much about Matte & Poreless, but liked the look of the display and the wide array of colors. It’s hard to find just the right shade sometimes, especially at the drugstore. I ended up loving the color I picked – it’s void of all red undertones, so it evens out my skin. The coverage and staying power are also amazing. I wore this foundation all day at work and then ran over to Nordstrom. While at the Chanel counter the girls even commented on how great my foundation looked and that they wanted to go out and buy it! I took that as a huge compliment! I’ve been impressed with all of the Fit Me products and they are all under $10!

Shop the post is back ya’ll! Now you can click on the items above for easy access to products in the post. I hope all of you have fun plans for the long weekend! Justin and I are going to attend a parade, watch an excessive amount of Netflix (we are watching House of Cards), take Heidi on lots of walks, and bask in the sun out on the river with good friends [and snacks]! It’s my first Fourth in California (that I can remember) so I’m hoping to make it a good one. Stay tuned for Motivation Monday and some 4th of July sales.

Also, many of you have asked for a post on how I do my hair and what products I use. It’s actually the most requested post of all time. I’ve been trying to figure out how I want to approach it, but I will have something up soon! I think the long weekend may be a good time to knock it out since I’m getting my hair cut Saturday. I may take Justin along to document the process and all the products!
