Happy Friday! Thank goodness, am I right?!

 Today’s post is one I’ve been excited to share ever since I tried a new beauty product last week. My sweet, sweet sorority sister asked if she could help find me a Lipsense color I loved and I said I would give it a shot, but with hesitation. Several months ago I tried this must-have product but wasn’t wowed. In retrospect, I think I just didn’t like the color and I didn’t really give it a tried and true test.

 But, thankfully I gave it a second chance and I found my perfect shade!

As many of you know who have been following me for quite some time, I love a light nude or light pink lip. I rarely wear brights (except recently in blog photos) and until a couple weeks ago, couldn’t find a Lipsense color light enough for my taste. I have very fair skin (when not self-tanning) so even the most popular nudes can come off orange or brown on my lips. Luckily, Jessica was so patient with me and sent shade after shade, plus swatches until I finally found Bravo. And oh, how I love it! I’m shocked to even type this, but it’s incredibly similar to my all time favorite lipstick by Tom Ford, Nude Vanille. See the swatches above to see the difference. 

Okay, so you’re probably wondering what is so special about the Lipsense craze?! Lipsense lip products (and even their fabulous eyeshadows) are long wearing…up to 18 hours! They’ve developed a special formula and process to applying their lip products, and once you get the hang of it, it’s easy. Once you find your color, you apply three applications, letting each dry in between, and then lastly a gloss to seal the color. Then you apply the gloss throughout the day before and after eating to keep it on all day long. There are some great YouTube videos that show and explain the process and exactly how to apply. Never fear, if you mess up they sell and Ooops Remover that easily takes off the color. 

Important note: Lipsense is made to be long lasting so if you decide to take it off to switch colors, or want to get it off at the end of the day, you’ll want the right products.
