I am extremely excited to share my very first home post from the new house! I’m so happy that my master bedding is finally finished and I couldn’t love it more. The size of this room is one of the main reasons I purchased my home and I couldn’t be happier to have my own king size bed. It’s without a doubt the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in (thanks to the mattress!) and I look forward to bedtime every single night now. And I think little miss Heidi quite likes it too.

THE MATTRESS

I was so thankful Leesa sent over two mattresses (c/o) for the house. The Leesa Legend for my master, and the Leesa Original for my guest room… sharing more about the original below. The Legend is brand new to Leesa’s collection and a hybrid pocket spring system – the first ever to be compressed inside a box! And y’all it was incredibly impressive to see how this huge king mattress fit rolled inside a small box – I was honestly amazed. The covering is made of a luxury organic cotton and merino wool for an elevated feel, and again, so impressed with the quality!

I originally slept on a Leesa mattress when I stayed with my friend Kasey from @sbkstyled. She has Leesa mattresses throughout her home and I immediately asked what she had after a great night’s sleep. So when I moved home to Kentucky I knew I wanted Leesa mattresses in my home. And fortunately, the Legend had just debuted. It’s very substantial in size, and still supportive while feeling incredibly comfortable. I also put a padded mattress cover on top so it’s so comfy cozy!   Leesa has been so kind to extend 20% off the Leesa Legend and Leesa Hybrid mattresses with the code pardonmuahxLeesa – it even works on their current promo (up to $350 off + 2 pillows) so you end up getting even more for your money. That’s almost a $600 discount on the Leesa Legend!

THE BEDDING

As many of you have seen on Instagram, I purchased pink leopard sheets. It was one of those girly purchases I knew I wanted in the house. They bring me so much joy, and surprisingly, don’t show self tanner stains… if you self tan, you  know what I’m talking about. The mattress is so thick they actually don’t tuck in around the sides, but that doesn’t bother me since they are covered by the duvet.

The duvet cover and additional euro covers were pretty affordable, and look amazing for the price! I love that they are a true white and don’t wrinkle easy. I did steam the pillow cases and washed and dried the cover, but haven’t noticed wrinkling since (my two cousins visited and immediately jumped on them and even that didn’t mess them up)! For my actual duvet, I ended up splurging on one that is fair trade, high-quality, European, and alternative down (I also purchased one for my guest room). And I have to say, it is so comfortable and very warm, which is great now that it feels like winter. My giant white shearling pillows were a fab Home Goods find over a year ago.

THE BED

Oh, the bed! Y’all… I searched and searched and searched for a bed I loved and refused to settle. I’ve seen so many of the same beds over the past few months and really wanted something different. I found this tufted white version (it comes in different colors and materials) and knew immediately it was the one. It came packaged beautifully and was very easy to build (we did wear gloves while building to keep the white fabric as clean as possible). We didn’t even need a drill! and here’s a peak at my guest room…

In my guest room I have the Leesa Original and find it equally as comfortable. I feel so confident having guests now, knowing they will get great sleep and have cozy bedding. My bedding is from the same retailer as my duvet inserts (linked below) – they have the most luxurious flannel sheets! Headboard is from Ballards and faux shearling rug is from Home Goods.
