Hello and Happy Friday! It’s only two days until Santa makes an appearance! Can you believe it?! I hope you have some wonderful plans and are already spending quality time with family. Justin and I are planning to enjoy some much-needed relaxation with little Miss Heidi.

For today’s post, I’m sharing my daily eye makeup routine. I realize it’s been a while since I’ve shared a routine and this is the same one I’ve had for quite some time now. It would work well for so many occasions…errands, work, girl’s night, date night, etc. And it’s really quick & simple! I’ve listed each individual product and how I use it below.
1. MAC Painterly Paint Pot // The first step in my eye makeup process is a primer. I highly encourage you to prime your eyes before putting on shadow or liner. A great primer will intensify color and will keep your makeup on all day long. It can also prevent liner and mascara from transferring above your eye throughout the day. I’ve been using this paint pot from MAC for years and I’m still on the same pot. This stuff lasts forever!

2. Scotch Tape // Okay…this is a game changer! Want the straightest liner and the most perfect cat eye?! Go grab that scotch tape out of your craft drawer and cut off two small pieces! You want to line the top of the tape up with the outer corner of your eyebrow. So it’s going up at an angle from the corner of your eye. I like to put my tape on after my primer.

3. Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer // Using a fluffy blending brush, I blend bronzer into the outer and middle crease of my eye. You can use an eye shadow transition shade, but bronzer works just as well and gives the outer eye a more natural magnified appearance! Make sure to blend, blend, blend.

4. Urban Decay Eye Shadow (sin) // After I have my crease color applied, I like to place this shadow on my lid. It’s work appropriate, but has enough sparkle to make it fun for nighttime too! You can even spray MAC Fix+ on your brush before applying for amplified color.

5. Kat Von D Tattoo Liquid Liner (trooper) // This is my favorite liner of all time! I’ve gone through so many and plan to buy them until the end of time hah! I also own it in brown, but I find myself reaching for black almost all of the time. It’s a long-wearing liquid liner that doesn’t come off or become shiny throughout the day.

This is when I pull off my tape (carefully) and complete my face makeup!

6. Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel // After I’ve finished my face makeup I’ll put a clear brow gel on my eyebrows. This is my favorite and one tube lasts me all year long! I own brow products that contain color, but for the day-to-day this is all I use.

7. Rimmel Kohl Eye Liner (nude) // This is a gorgeous liner for the lower water line! It stays on for quite a while and the cream color makes the eyes look so much more awake. It’s a small step that makes a big difference!

8. Loreal Voluminous Lash Primer // If you don’t own this product, you are seriously missing out! Loreal hit a home run with this eyelash primer. It was originally part of a dual ended brush with mascara but became so popular they now package it alone. The purpose of this product? To create a base layer on your lashes that helps your usual mascara look longer and more voluminous. The initial coating of primer really makes a difference! It also keeps mascara from flaking or transferring under your eye. I use it on my bottom lashes first.

9. Dior Addict It-Lash Mascara // I’ve been talking about this mascara since I started writing my blog. It’s my favorite lower lash mascara because it’s the only one I’ve used that doesn’t transfer under my eye and it’s a quality product. You can obviously wear it on your top lashes too, but I like to save all of my for the bottom.

10. Loreal Voluminous Lash Primer // After touching up my liner, I put the same primer on my upper lashes. I like to let it dry for about 30 seconds before applying mascara to my top lashes.

11. Essence Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara // I realize my mascara routine is excessive and obviously you don’t need three. This is just how I like to layer and is my preference. If you’ve never tried putting different mascaras together I would give it a try – it can help with lengthening and volume since all wands have different strengths. This first mascara is by Essence and sooo affordable! I like to use this one first because it gives my lashes length.

12. Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara // Next, I use my favorite high-end mascara. This is the best overall product since it volumizes and lengthens. It helps to make my lashes look fuller and more dramatic. I’m on my third or fourth tube!

13. Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara // Last, but not least, I like to go over my lashes one last time, focusing on the tips, with another Essence mascara. It’s like the icing on the cake!
I hope this was helpful! And that you’ve discovered some new products! I hope you and your families have an amazing Christmas and holiday season. Stay warm and come back Sunday for a special very Merry Christmas post.
