Earlier in the year, I talked about dry skin solutions so today I wanted to talk specifically about one brand, in particular, Vaseline. For those of you who have followed me for a while here on the blog, and also on Instagram, know that I’ve been using Vaseline for months now. It was suggested to me by several doctors when I was going suffering from a series of lip issues they think originated from an allergy or stress. Unfortunately, I was unable to use regular lipsticks or glosses for months (ugh it was terrible). The ONLY thing I could put on my lips that made them feel better was Vaseline.

And to my surprise and elation, Vaseline came out with a Lip Therapy tin that is super easy to travel with or put in your purse, AND it’s much easier to get into than the teeny tiny baby-sized lip containers. SO thankful for this product!

Did you know your lips are actually more susceptible to dryness as the skin is thinner than the rest of the body? Vaseline Lip Therapy soothes and softens to repair, not just coat, your lips. And if you were wondering, it’s made of Vaseline Jelly, so it locks in moisture. I use mine every night before I go to bed and every morning and I can tell a HUGE difference in the health of my lips. I’ve never used anything else that has the same effect. FYI sometimes I use a Q-tip instead of my finger to keep things sanitary.

You may not know that Vaseline also offers body lotion. Their Intensive Care Advanced Repair Lotion is AMAZING! Seriously, so impressed! When I’m looking for an all over lotion I want something that isn’t going to be thick and sticky, even if I’m just going to bed. But many times lotions of thinner consistencies don’t offer the same moisturization and leave your skin dry hours later. Vaseline’s repair lotion, however, absorbs fast for a non-greasy feel but it incredibly soothing. It’s actually proven to moisturize and heal very dry skin in 5 days. I’ve had such dry, itchy skin this winter and this product is perfect for healing rough skin and relieves stubborn dry patches. Plus, it’s great for sensitive skin like mine, so you don’t have to worry about trading one problem for another.
I mentioned this in a previous post, but I’ve been using my reusable CVS bag every time I head to the store. I’m sure I”m not the only one who makes weekly trips to check out all the new drugstore makeup and skin care products… at least I hope not haha! The reusable bag is bigger than the regular plastic ones and after only being able to use reusable bags in California, I got in the habit of bringing my own. Plus, it’s cute!

Right now from February 4th – February 10th Vaseline is offering BOGO on all of their products with your CVS card. I may just have to go back for more – I need Lip Therapy tins for every bag!

Have a fabulous start to your week!
XO Amanda
