TGIF, Friends! I am SO excited to share today’s Face It Friday post with you because I’ve discovered a new makeup FAV. Lately, I’ve been getting so many questions about what cosmetics I use and I’m happy to report I’ve found a new contour & highlight palette that made the cut! I’m really picky about the products that make it into my vanity drawer and this one did it after the first try! When I’m testing a palette like this I look for several things… pigmentation, application, the overall quality of the product & packaging, and how smooth it is. I’m happy to say The Guize Face FX palette has it all! The palette’s packaging is both trendy and sleek – I mean let’s be honest… fabulous product packaging counts! AND it’s affordable (insert clapping hands emoji).

From left to right: Shimmer, Bronzer, Contour, Highlight
You know that feeling when you do your makeup and hair and you look in the mirror and think… “Gosh, I look good today!”? That’s exactly how I felt after using this palette. The subtle glow on my cheeks made me feel ethereal, while the contour and bronzer made me look alive and newly bronzed. There’s no better feeling than holding your head high on a flawless makeup day… it’s not all application… a lot of that is thanks to the consistency and formulation of the products you’re using.
The Guize Face FX palettes come in three different color combinations, depending on your skin tone. They offer Moonlight (what I’m wearing for fair to light complexions), Daylight (medium complexions), and Twilight (medium to dark complexions). These three palettes hold a color range for just about everyone which is, sadly, sometimes hard to find. They use models of all different ethnicities and the photos on the site are a great representation of the different palettes offered. I used the fair to light palette while self-tanned (as you can see above) and the powders still showed up beautifully!

Each palette comes with four different powders. Highlight for a lifted effect to accent your best and most prominent features, contour to hide any undesirable areas (i.e. I put it on the end of my nose), bronzer for a natural sun-kissed look, and lastly, shimmer for a beautiful glow (my favorite!). The pans are also bigger than the average contour & highlight palette which means your money goes a lot further (btw this palette is only $40, you guys!). I’m happy to share that each powder is pigmented, smooth, and blendable which is so important to a properly contoured effect and meets my requirements I listed previously.

Not only does this product give you four products in one, but it’s nice and compact for travel. I’m flying up to NYC the first week of February and can’t wait to bring mine with me. The handmade wooden palette is made using eco-friendly materials, and the pans are replaceable (this is HUGE) so you don’t have to buy a whole new palette (because we all know there’s that one color you use more than the others)! Plus, you’ll find a full-width mirror inside for maximum visibility… a feature I love when filming makeup tutorials.

Lastly, this product is cruelty-free!
For even more detail and some fabulous photos, you can check out the Guize Face FX site. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts and see your looks if you pick up a palette for yourself!
