New Hair | I Got Extensions

Hi, Friends! I have so much to tell you today. It’s MOVING DAY! If you didn’t know, Justin, Heidi and I are headed back to the east coast from California where we’ve been for the last two years. We are super excited for the move because we purchased a home and are chomping at the bit to get into it. It’s going to be such a change from where we are now… we will finally have central heat & air, an ice maker, a dishwasher, and a walk-in closet! Yay! We will be staying with family and in a hotel for a week or two while we wait to close on the house, and while our cars and belongings travel from Sacramento to Virginia. If you’ve never moved cross country, boy, is it a lot of logistics! I think the hardest part is packing things into storage and deciding what will come with you. For example, you can’t ship liquids via a moving company so you either have to throw them out or pack them in your luggage. Needless to say, we’ve thrown a lot of stuff away and my “liquid” specific bag is 43 pounds of makeup and toiletries. All packed in towels and bubble wrap so that they hopefully survive the plane ride. Another thing you have to keep in mind is traveling with all of your sensitive documents. I got Justin and I accordion folders to organize everything important on paper and thankfully he’s willing to carry those along in his backpack. I feel so blessed Luxy Hair was kind enough to send me this gorgeous set of extensions! Seriously, thank you so much Luxy Hair! I have to say, I never ever thought I’d wear extensions. For most of my life, I’ve had very long hair and fortunately am able to grow thick long hair fairly quickly (which I am very thankful for). So in my mind, I wasn’t an “extension type of girl.” But as I’ve been growing out my hair I notice more and more that I’m getting the long hair bug. Where I envy those with long luscious locks like I used to have. So, when Luxy Hair reached out to me the answer was a huge “YES!” And I have to say I am extremely pleased with the quality, length, and thickness of the extensions. And I’m shocked by the color! I was worried none of the colors would match well since I have balayage in my hair but the dirty blonde was just right. FYI you can actually color the extensions darker if you wish (just no bleach or lightening). AND you can curl, straighten, and wash them! How cool is that?!
