Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018: Everything You Need To Know

I cannot believe it’s finally Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 Early Access Week! Eeek! The best sale of the year, and truly, Christmas in July. I cannot wait to share all of the products once they become available and plan to be your one-stop shopping guide for sale happenings and great deals! I’m heading out of town on Wednesday to shop the sale in-store on Thursday so I can snag some fab items to share with you right away, in addition to the damage I’ll do online lol. Above are five items I’m dying to get my hands on. The sale is an amazing time to stock up on denim, shoes, and beauty buys. They even have awesome items for the home. They aren’t linkable yet but will be soon. Oh, I can’t wait!

For today, I wanted to share some important tips and information from my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 Guide. Make note, when the sale starts there will be a drop-down menu at the top of the blog with shopping categories like clothing, shoes, beauty, home, etc.

This year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale starts July 20th and runs until August 5th. You can also gain access early several days prior! To find out how continue reading.

Dates & Times To Remember:

  • July 11th, 2018 Reserved sale shopping day for Nordstrom Level 4 Cardholders
  • July 12th, 2018 12:01 am PST Early Access begins for all Nordstrom Cardholders
  • July 20th, 2018 12:01 am PST The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens to the public
  • August 5th, 2018 11:50 pm PST The sale ends and items return back to full price

Why is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale such a big deal?

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the one time of year Nordstrom unveils brand new Fall merch ON SALE. After the sale, prices go back up, so this event is an amazing time to snag late summer, Fall, and even Winter pieces you can wear for months to come.

How and where do I shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale:

You can shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale both in stores and online, but I HIGHLY RECOMMEND shopping online for better stock and a more comfortable experience lol. OR if you have a store near you, you can select in-store pick up. That means you order online but can get your items same or next day! And some stores even offer curbside pickup – how easy is that?! 

A lot of you ask how I can get credit for “in-store” purchases when you shop my links (y’all are so sweet) and in-store/curbside pickup orders made online totally count! 



Do I need a promo code to shop?

You don’t need any kind of promo code to shop. If you have Early Access, you’ll log in to your account and automatically be able to shop the sale. If you’re not a cardholder, you’ll be able to see the items but won’t be able to purchase until the 20th. 


Why should I check out the sale early if I don’t have Early Access?

You can easily add items to your wish list on Nordstrom.com so they will all be there when the time comes to check out on July 20th when the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale officially begins! I will be posting sale content the second the sale starts so feel free to add my favs and purchases to your own personal list.
How do I get Early Access? 
Early Access gives you the ability to shop the sale 8 days before anyone else, and trust me, things fly off the racks (both literally and figuratively). Some items don’t even last a day! To gain access, you’ll need to be a Nordstrom cardmember. I actually opened my Nordstrom Card several years ago to shop early. There are two types of cards and both get the privilege of shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale early!

Why apply for a Nordstrom Card:

  1. Early Access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
  2. A $40 bonus note when you make any purchase using your new card the day you’re approved 
  3. 2 points per dollar spent with Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, Trunk Club, or HauteLook
  4. Benefits of being a Nordstrom cardholder
  5. No annual fee
  6. 24/7 customer service

Nordstrom Rewards Retail Card s a store card that can only be used to shop at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, HauteLook, and Trunk Club. You’ll earn 2 points per dollar spend in store and online. 

Visa Signature Cardholders access the same perks at the retail card but earn additional Nordstrom points with any purchase using the card. You’ll shop instantly if you’re approved!

Why should I come to the blog even if I follow you on Instagram?

Swipe ups are seriously the best thing since sliced bread, and trust me, there will be SO many swipe ups and try-on sessions happening during the sale (SO if you read the blog but don’t follow on IG, now is def the time to start!), but the blog will be the BEST and MAIN resource for all things Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I personally think shopping the sale on my computer due to the number of items being purchased and the quality of information. You’ll find blog posts with sale items styled, wish lists, my favorites, shopping drop-down menus, IG round-ups, and more!
