Hello, Friends!

I’m so sorry there wasn’t a post yesterday. I was planning on creating a Labor Day post full of amazing sales and deals but if you’ve been following me on Instastory you know Justin and I have had a busy couple of days. We flew into Raliegh, North Carolina on Saturday to attend a friend’s wedding Sunday. It was absolutely beautiful and she looked like a billion bucks! And the venue was incredibly perfect (called The Bradford if you’re getting married in NC). I always plan to work while in the hotel and traveling but it just never happens. We both got super jet lagged Sunday morning and ended up skipping complimentary breakfast to sleep… and we don’t skip out on food often hah! So we went to a fabulous brunch spot called Plates in downtown Raleigh which was really delicious. I loved the city so much I look forward to going back to visit with all the new friends we made at the wedding!

Yesterday we left NC and headed to Virginia where we will be house hunting for the next two days. If you didn’t know, Justin and I actually met in Virginia before moving to California and both our families live here too (they are super excited about us moving back). We have our fingers crossed we will find a home or a plot of land we love before heading back to the west coast – talk about a time crunch right?! We are really excited and feel very fortunate we are moving back to a state and a city we know well where we can easily navigate and already have friends! So far we are off to a good start since our hotel of choice was priced way lower than we anticipated and when we arrived we found our room renovated and in a perfect location – there’s nothing worse than looking out of your hotel room into a parking lot or another building. 

Since I missed yesterday’s post I thought I would share an amazing sale happening right now at Nordstrom. The Nordstrom Summer Sale is way better than I anticipated! For some reason, I didn’t think I’d find many items I’d want to share but boy did I. There are so many items from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (you can still found what I purchased this year HERE) that are on sale again, and some, at even lower prices – what?! I’ve featured several that I’m loving above, including my new favorite boyfriend jean. They are on MAJOR sale! I’ve been wearing mine non-stop and they look perfect with heels. Just make sure to size down (I normally wear a 24 and had to go down to a 23). You’ll also find some beautiful tote bags, sandals to buy for next summer, fall boots, and cozy sweaters!
