Taking pictures with a puppy attention span can be hard…

Good morning friends and welcome back to Wear It Wednesday!


Today’s post features some professional workwear with a casual spin and some pretty puppy modeling by little miss Heidi. Now that I work in a more lax work attire atmosphere I don’t dress up very often. It’s usually jeans, leggings, sweaters and cute blouses. So I thought I’d share a happy medium between blazers and pantsuits, and tees and jeans. I bought this jacket last year and couldn’t find it again this year, but I’ve linked the most similar versions I could find. It’s rather lightweight so it’s comfortable all day and has such fun detailing! Underneath, I wore my favorite white v-neck cami.

  Funny story: I wore this cami to Justin’s dad’s car shop while we were test driving his track car and got a big oil spot on the front. I used a stain stick and was able to get out most, but it most definitely has a little spot left. I just can’t bring myself to get rid of it, because it seems special now.


For denim, I’m wearing some dark wash flared jeans from STS Blue – the only brand I don’t have to hem (and I’m 5’2″). A darker jean like this is great if you have casual Fridays at your office or want to look a little more put together. I paired it with a peep toe bootie – my favorite of the entire season!


As for my necklace, it’s a plastic chain link style with a bow tie. This material and design is coming back this season and is a great way to add a little color to any outfit!
