Good Morning and Happy Friday!

I got a request from a follower to do a post on the cosmetics I use when I’m getting ready quickly and don’t have a ton of time to contour, bake, and patiently put on eyelashes. So I’ve put together my 10 minute makeup routine and the products I use when I’m in a rush or don’t feel like putting on a full face of makeup.  Please ignore the dirty makeup containers hah – I didn’t realize how bad they were until I uploaded these photos. And also keep in mind I’ve got my routine down to a science so it’s really easy for me to use these items quickly – even though it may seem like a lot to some. Enjoy!

#1 Moisturize!

I forgot to take a photo of my moisturizer but I use this one here. Dermatologist approved and great for sensitive skin. I apply first thing in the morning so I have hydrated skin throughout the day. It’s also a great base for your makeup so it doesn’t get stuck in any dry patches.

Next, i use my facial mist. I swear by MAC’s Fix+ spray and would recommend it to anyone. Great for sensitive skin and amazing for travel when you need to rehydrate when flying.
After I spray my face liberally with my facial spray I apply a sweet smelling, conditioning lip balm. Right now I’m using Nivea’s Raspberry Rose Kiss Lip Butter and it smells like strawberry Starburst! I loveeee the smell so much and it’s only a couple dollars at the drugstore. I apply this before other products so that my lips can hydrate before I apply lipstick or gloss.
Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer comes at a ghastly price, but it’s oh so good. It is most definitely a splurge (especially for the large size) but this is my favorite primer of all time. It doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin and it goes on like silk…no joke. So silky soft and I do see a difference in the longevity of my foundation.
Then I’m ready to apply my favorite foundation, which at the moment is Maybelline’s Fit Me Matte & Poreless. I’ve been wearing this foundation (only) for weeks and can’t get enough. The coverage is amazing and the color is just right, plus the price is so reasonable.
Next is my favorite step! I love applying concealer, because it instantly brightens the face. I’ve also been using Maybelline’s Fit Me Concealer and it’s equally as amazing. It’s not too thick, but gives plenty of coverage. Plus the price point is…on point

Okay ladies & gents this NARS Powder is my FAV. I’ve gone through so many I can’t even count. This is by far the best pressed translucent powder ever! It’s very fine and doesn’t create a white cast on the face in person or in pictures. The top has a sort of “film” on top so originally I was using too much product, thinking I wasn’t getting enough on my brush, but trust me you are! A little does go a long way. It keeps me matte all day long.

Next up is bronzer. No matter how rushed I am I always like to put some color on my face. It brightens the complexion and since I’m usually pretty fair, makes me look a lot more healthy. Make Up For Ever’s Bronzer is truly amazing and has such a natural coloring. Highly recommend!

After I bronze it up I add a little color to my cheeks. One of my favorite blushes of all time is YSL’s Baby Doll, because it’s a true light pink. And the product lasts so long. I’ve had mine foreverrr and it’s still going strong! Bronzer and blush are great quick steps to making the face look healthy and awake.

I’m not one to fill in my eyebrows every day, or even every other day. I absolutely love Anastasia’s Clear Brow Gel. It’s so quick and easy to use and keeps your brow hairs in place all. day. long. Great for everyone, especially those who don’t want a long, drawn out (get it) brow routine.

Loreal’s Double Extend Mascara is an awesome drugstore find! Thanks to blogger extraordinaire, Emily Ann Gemma, I’ve been using this lash primer for months and love it! I don’t use the actual mascara side, just the primer. Some primers irritate my eyes, but this one has been nothing but wonderful. I apply two coats to each eye and after it dries, apply mascara. This is especially useful if you’re in a hurry and don’t have time to put on eye shadow and/or liner.

The Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara by Marc Jacobs has quickly become my favorite. The wand is very similar to that of Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, but even better. It lengthens, thickens, and separates, creating wow volume! I’ve tried lots of drugstore mascaras but nothing seems to beat high-end so far.

Last, but definitely not lease, I spray 6-8 spritzes of Urban Decay’s All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray all over my face. It will keep your makeup in place a lot longer and helps your products to settle into your skin. I’ve gone through four or five bottles.
#14 The Lips!
And don’t forget your lips! Finish off your quick look with a quick swipe of a bright lip or a nude gloss. My favorites at the moment are MAC lipstick in Hue and Marc Jacobs gloss in Sugar Sugar.
Have an absolutely wonderful weekend and I’ll see you back here Monday for an exciting “What’s in my work bag” post featuring one of the best totes ever!
