There’s nothing I love more than must-have Fall basics. Pieces that can be worn day in and day
out in different ways, with different items you already own or have your eye on. Shopping for cool weather staples now will make getting ready later in the season so much easier! Plus, stores usually put out some of the best clothing and accessories at the end of the Summer and things sell out fast, so make sure to take a look at what you’re in need of soon. I love going through my wardrobe season to season because I always forget what I have and it keeps me from buying duplicates or similar pieces.

Today I put together a chic casual outfit that is easy to replicate full of items that are affordable and sure to be worn on repeat as the temperatures begin to drop.

HATS… My black wool Panama hat is one of my favorite purchases from the Nordstrom Sale this year. It sold out super fast, but luckily they brought it back! It’s an awesome price point and wears well with so many outfits because it’s nice and neutral. In the past, I wasn’t much of a hat person but this year I’m really embracing it as I think it can totally round out an outfit and give it a little something extra!

LIGHT LONG SLEEVE TOPS… My ribbed long sleeve tee (tts, wearing xs) is one of my favorite basics of all time and for good reason. It’s nice and lightweight, travels well, looks great alone or under cardis, sweaters, and vests, AND it’s only $25! I also own it in white and recommend you buy multiples. It’s one of the most worn pieces in my closet and quite flattering to the body, especially when worn with high-waisted denim.

COIN/PENDANT NECKLACES… On top, for a little bling, I put on my new layered nested charm pendant necklace (c/o Express). I wore this is a recent blog post (read the post HERE) and it looked equally as cute with a cozy sweater. Coin & pendant necklaces are a major trend this year and I love how the layered look gives it dimension and fun detail against a plain top. Just beware not to let it tangle itself up… I may have spent 30 minutes trying to untangle mine haha!

FLARED JEANS… I don’t need to tell you all that I am OBSESSED with flared jeans. I probably own six or seven.. maybe eight pairs now because I love how flattering they are to the body. And if you’re petite like me, wearing them with a heel or wedge makes the legs look super long! The pair I have on here are high waisted and stretchy (tts, wearing 00 reg), and hands down one of my favs. I love that the wash allows them to be dressed up!

LEOPARD SHOES… Again, no need to explain my love affair with leopard details. I’ve had these pointed toe heels (tts, wearing size 7)for quite a while now and am so happy to see they are still in stock and super on trend for this coming Fall and Winter seasons. There are SO many leopard pieces to choose from right now. Flats, heels, booties, tops, sweaters, skirts… you name it they probably make it in leopard. It’s the perfect print to give a little pop to a neutral outfit!

QUILTED HANDBAGS… My black quilted chain detail bag (mine is large) is hands down one of my favorite things and has been now for several months. It’s a really affordable dupe for more expensive designer versions and the quality is really good! I was worried it wouldn’t be as nice in person but it’s even better than the pictures online. It comes in tons of colors but I thought the black looked super chic and love that it goes with everything!

Have a happy hump day and I’ll see you back here Friday!
