nordstrom bp. stripe linen blend shorts
I was trying to decide which blog post and pictures to share today (I know I need to get back in the routine of Motivation Monday, Wear It Wednesdays, and Face It Friday. They’ve been a bit of a mish-mash lately), and I had to choose the outfit with the coffee. I’m writing this on Sunday night and am already looking forward to an iced coconut mocha macchiato tomorrow morning (I’m all out of almond creamer so it looks like I’ll be hitting the grocery too – ugh). I’ve been trying to abstain from soy vanilla lattes because I was drinking them way too often and the only drink I’ve ever liked with coconut milk is the one I just mentioned above.

I feel extra rejuvenated from the weekend and it’s such a good feeling to have. I feel like Mondays can make or break the whole week so starting it right is crucial. Saturday I was able to get a couple outfit photos done for the gram with J, filmed a try-on sesh for IG, caught up on some emails, and then watched endless hours of Netflix (I watched the entire second season of Queer Eye Friday night!). Sunday I cleaned the house, organized, and FINALLY set up a computer monitor in my office. I cannot tell you how amazing it is to write this post on a screen that isn’t 11 inches wide lol. We have it set up so it plugs straight into my laptop projecting the same screen and files which makes my life so much easier.

And being able to see more detail when editing these photos was a dream – just like these $45 striped shorts! I should have shared them sooner, as they are already starting to sell out – seriously run and snag a pair as fast as you can! They are the comfiest, most practical shorts you can style a ton of different ways.

Other than denim, which I bought an excessive amount of this year, I normally don’t buy shorts. I don’t know why exactly but they always seem harder for me to gauge the sizing since I’m petite if I don’t try them on in person. These striped linen-blend shorts, however, caught my eye and then I saw how cute they looked on several of my blogger friends. Definitely a perk of sharing a similar style with so many other gals on social media – they make shopping easy! I ended up sizing down in these shorts, as I usually do with this brand, and they fit perfect with a little room to spare (the elastic waistband makes them super comfy). I noticed the xxs in both colors is already sold out so make sure to shop them if you like them.

They make the best travel shorts, and surprisingly, for a linen-blend, don’t wrinkle all that much… even after washing. Highly recommend for summer car trips and airplane vacas!

I love the casual pairing of the striped shorts and the white button front cami (it comes in several colors and all look cute with these shorts). BTW I also sized down to an xxs in this piece too! You can never have too many simple white tees, camis, and tanks for the summer, or really any time of the year. And the same goes for a versatile denim jacket! This lighter wash version goes with SO much and is a piece that I usually keep on hand when traveling in case the weather or indoors is chilly. I’m wearing an xs (true to size) and love how it’s not too big with only a cami underneath, but also allows for a long sleeve top or lightweight sweater too.

My studded platform espadrille sandals are currently 40-60% off! The tan color I’m wearing is pretty picked over, but they come in four fabulously neutral shades – and the ivory is less than $64! I love this studded style so much I even own the flat sandal version in cognac which goes with everything.

As always I added some blush and pink details with my ark bag (one of my fav Spring purchases), earrings (these are nice and lightweight), and lip combo (shades mentioned under the last photo).

Have an amazing Monday and cheers (queue cheersing coffee cups) to a productive day!
