Thank you to Walmart for sponsoring today’s post.

Who else is spoiled by Walmart Grocery Pickup?! Justin and I have been using it for months now, and honestly, I don’t think I could ever traditionally shop again! It’s incredibly easy, convenient, and most of all, affordable. The prices are always amazing and the staff who bring everything out are as nice as can be. If you’ve never done pickup before, keep reading to find out how it works!

Why choose Walmart Grocery Pickup? It’s so easy! But also… Walmart associates are trained to pick out the freshest items if you’re ordering produce, you get the same low prices as in-store without any hidden fees or markups, AND if an items from your order isn’t in-stock, personal shoppers will substitute an equal or better item at no additional cost… which J and I love since many times we end up getting more for our money.

How does Walmart Grocery Pickup work? All you have to do is go to walmart.com/grocery or the Walmart Grocery App (I highly encourage you to download, it makes life so much easier)! Once on the site or in the app you’ll select a pickup time and submit your order. For subsequent orders you’ll be able to select from your favorites, or items you’ve ordered previously which makes shopping much quicker. Once your order is ready you’ll get a notification via text or app notification. Just follow the orange signs to the pickup location (ours is on the side of the store) and a Walmart associate will come out to your designated spot to place your groceries into your car. If you have any substitutions they will go over this with you when you arrive!

This past Saturday, I picked up the items needed to make cookies, along with some sassy gold plates, black & white polka dot napkins (linked in SHOP THE POST), and even a food processor – which is another reason I love pickup… you can also add home and party items (etc.), to your cart!   Below you’ll find the ingredients and instructions for my FAVORITE cookies of all time.  They are really easy to bake and aren’t your traditional oatmeal cookie. They are nice  && thin and crunchy, with a chewy delicious center!

INGREDIENTS one cup quick oats 1/4 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon salt one and 1/2 teaspoons baking powder one cup granulated sugar one stick salted butter one large egg one teaspoon vanilla extract  (makes about 8 dozen)     1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Important: Cover baking sheets with foil and spray generously with vegetable/cooking spray… this is necessary to get the cookies off once cooled since they are so thin.   2. In medium bowl: combine oats, flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well with whisk and set aside.   3. In a large bowl: combine sugar + butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until a grainy paste is formed. Add egg + vanilla until smooth. Add flour mixture & blend until just combined.   4. Using a teaspoon, place dough onto baking sheets at least two inches apart (your dough balls can be pretty small, because they will spread).    5. Bake for 8-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown (our oven takes only eight minutes).   6. LET COOL, and carefully peel off using a flat spatula.   **RESPRAY baking sheets between batches.  (Recipe & ingredients from Mrs. Fields Best Cookie Book Ever!)
