I’m so excited for the last week of January to roll around because I’m finally going on my very first blogger trip! Myself and some other amazing blogger babes are headed to Sun Valley, Idaho for a weekend of good company, great food, snowshoeing, girl chatting, ice skating, and more!

SO… I’ve ordered several things I didn’t have in my wardrobe for cold weather and that I thought would be cute for photos in the snow. There is A LOT of snow where we are going! Fortunately, we get a lot of snow in Virginia, and pretty cold temps, so I’ll be able to put all of these items to good use throughout February and March. And they are all staples I can wear for years to come.

One of the things I surprisingly didn’t have were snow boots. I usually wear my quilted Hunter Boots (50% off right now!) in the snow and they wear really well BUT we will be snowshoeing so I really want something designed for more than just rain. I ended up snagging some Sorel snow boots in the curry & black color pattern (showing the navy & beige above) and I really hope they work! They are super versatile and I plan on wearing them with a warm long black coat and tights.

My mom recommended I get some sub-zero tights if I didn’t want to wear ski pants and I’m really excited about the pair I bought – they should be coming in very soon! They are made for super cold temps which I love because I can tuck them into my snow boots and don’t have to worry about wearing multiple layers… or looking like a marshmallow haha. I think they will come in handy for so many other occasions – my parents have them for winter bike rides.

For my birthday (YAY) my mom was kind enough to order me Sorel wedge shearling boots. We were going to pick out a bar cart for my dining room, but in true Amanda fashion, I saw these boots and then couldn’t let go. I literally made an outfit in my mind and that was it! I LOVE how they have them styled on the website with a midi skirt and sweater. I plan on living in these the next couple months!

The pom beanie and ear muffs are both a bit of a splurge but they are SO GOOD! I bought way too many beanies this year… well last year, and of course, now have one favorite I wear all of the time. I currently have the beanie in black but plan on ordering others since it’s all I reach for. It’s really good quality and nice and warm inside (also it’s not itchy!). The earmuffs are by the same brand and looked so luxurious I had to have them for my trip. I love having one great pair of ear muffs when you don’t want to mess up your hair or you’re wearing a dressier outfit in the cold weather months.

I hope you have a fabulous Tuesday and make sure to stop by Thursday for my 2019 RESOLUTIONS POST + my reflections on turning 30! I cannot wait to share!
