Hello, Monday! 

I hope it’s okay, but I decided to do an extra Wear It Wednesday this week. I guess we can call it Merchandise Monday. I couldn’t wait to share this look we shot this past weekend because I’ve had several questions recently about what to wear to summer weddings. It’s always a challenge because you want to dress appropriately for a nice occasion while staying cool. A lot of summer weddings are outside or near water and the last thing you want is to melt before making it into the reception. You’ll be looking for a cold cocktail in no time! Justin and I have several weddings to attend this year in all different locations. California, North Carolina, and Costa Rica (we might be making this one into a week vacation lol). For all of these, I’m in the same boat as many of you who want to look cute, more dressed up than usual, and comfort is also key as weddings are several hours long and involve lots of eating, drinking, and dancing. 

I found this blush floral off the shoulder dress online last week and couldn’t believe it’s under $50. I was even more surprised when it arrived and it was incredibly comfortable to wear. I love the off the shoulder details and the fact you don’t have to pull or tug at it all night long like some deep v-neck or off the shoulder options. Then, while shopping Nordstrom triple points, I stumbled upon these amazing embellished nude sandals. Again, I couldn’t believe how reasonably priced these are for the detail, and they are incredibly versatile. Not only can you wear them with a pretty dress, you can even pair them with cropped white pants or jeans and a cute blouse or simple tee. A while back, I owned a similar version of these shoes but in the taller thinner-heeled version…and oh. my. gosh were they uncomfortable! It’s a popular style and I’m convinced all the bloggers wear them because they match so many outfits but everyone thinks the comfort level stinks. These, on the other hand, thanks to the lower heel, are very comfy! Thank goodness! I also have a thin, shallow foot and don’t have issues wallowing around. I even got the half sole pads to put in the front so my feet don’t slide forward (FYI most shoe stores will give these to you for free with a purchase). 

Another fabulous find was this pair of tortoise sunglasses. I love my designer sunnies because the quality and comfort level is high. But sometimes on vacations or beach trips, I don’t want my $200+ shades to come long in case they get damaged or lost in transit. These, on the other hand, look like $200 (I think) and only cost $24! $24 you guys! Funny story…While trying these on and loving them but trying to convince myself I didn’t need another pair of tortoise sunnies, I looked up from the mirror and a lady said: “girl, you better buy those, they look awesome on you.” Game over haha! So obviously they made their way home with me and I’m quite glad!
