I love a good patio dinner date night, if it’s not too hot, in the summer! Something about being outside and enjoying the fresh summer air just makes going on a date that much more fun. I have the most adorable outfit for what to wear for a summer date night that’s so chic. And the dress is super affordable and versatile to add to your wardrobe as a summer staple!

What to Wear for a Summer Date Night

This affordable neutral jersey dress is only $15! There are many different ways you can style this throughout the summer and into the fall.

• Layer a denim jacket over the top and pair with slide sandals for brunch
• Wear a kimono and mules for a day of shopping
• Add a blazer and pair with nude pumps for the office
• Tie a plaid button down around your waist and pair with white sneakers for an early fall outfit

The options are really endless when it comes to a neutral jersey dress like this one. The dress is sold out of the taupe, but comes in black and hot pink (perfect for summer). I’m wearing a size XS and runs true to size.

Because this looks is for a dinner date, I wanted to dress it up a bit. A leather jacket dresses up the look while still maintaining an on-trend, edgy feel. A leather jacket is definitely one of those investment pieces that you buy, and then have forever. The quality of a leather jacket is excellent and holds up, making it a great staple piece for your wardrobe. I’m wearing my true size 0 in this AllSaints leather jacket.

These light brown wedges are a designer pair that are incredibly comfortable. I also love that their neutral to wear with a different color combinations. What makes them so comfortable is their platform. Your heel isn’t lifted too far up, but you still get that great height from the platform. I sized up a half size in these, and they fit perfect.

I finished the look with the Medium Kate YSL handbag. You can carry as a clutch or use the strap for a shoulder or crossbody bag. I love the versatility of it, and the color is just perfection.
