What to Wear Where Series Roundup 2022

CASUAL VALENTINE’S DAY OUTFIT

This oversized bubblegum pink sweater is from my shop, Pretty Neutral. The sweater has a slightly slouchy fit, so you can wear this comfortably with leggings. I’m normally an XS, but wearing a small for a more oversized fit.

A great pair of nice fitting and comfortable black leggings are a wardrobe staple and these hit the mark. They come in a variety of other colors with different lengths to fit different body types. I’m normally a 00 in most pants. However, I usually wear a 4 in lululemon. I’m wearing a 2 (25″) in this style because they have a more forgiving fit.

For a fun date night to celebrate Valentine’s Day, I shared an amazing lineup of Valentine’s Day date night looks. Instead of just one look, I featured 10 different outfits in this post that would be perfect to wear on a romantic night out.

WHAT TO WEAR FOR WEEKEND ERRANDS IN COLD WEATHER

This teddy coat makes the entire outfit. The shearling material gives the coat a more casual vibe while the length and structure of the coat dresses it up just a tad. My coat is an oldie, so I linked one that is almost identical that comes in five other colors besides this beautiful ivory. I own another coat by the same brand that runs true to size. It features two functional pockets with two tortoise buttons.

Los Angeles Trading Co. has a variety of fun, legging-friendly sweatshirts. I’m wearing a size small/medium, and it has just the right amount of an oversized fit. I linked a few other of my favorite sweatshirts from this brand in the post too.

WHAT TO WEAR TO WORK IN THE WINTER

I wear my sherpa coat on repeat throughout the cold-weather seasons. The reason is because you can easily dress it up or down. In this post, I paired it with a lounge set. So it goes to show that it’s a versatile piece that will keep you extra warm and cozy. Because it’s long and structured, it’s appropriate to wear to work, especially on those extra chilly days! For an special chic touch, I added this YSL brooch. It gives the coat a designer look without paying for an entire designer coat.

This cable knit sweater looks like it’s from J.Crew or Banana Republic. It’s perfect to pair with both trousers or ankle pants, jeans or skirts. It comes in three other colors, and I sized up one to a small for a little bit of an oversized fit.

Spring and fall are no doubt, the most popular seasons to get married. I can’t think of a more beautiful backdrop than blooming florals and lush greenery. In this post, I shared 5 easy outfit ideas for what to wear to a wedding. I’m also including a few other options that you can easily mix and match with the accessories below to create a look that is uniquely you.

WHAT TO WEAR TO A CLIENT MEETING

This has been the most popular and most shopped looked since January on What to Wear Where. This white and black trimmed matching sweater set is giving me major Chanel vibes. I can’t help but channel my inner Anna Wintor in this all-neutral look. It’s like a power suit that is anything but boring! This Endless Rose set features a luxurious sweater material that is sophisticated in every way. It’s adorned with gold buttons that elevate the entire set.

COLD WEATHER BRUNCH OR LUNCH OUTFIT OPTION

This henley neck sweater dress is one of my favorite affordable finds. It’s very versatile in the sense that you can dress it up or dress it down. And I also love the subtle detailing that gives this dress just enough interest like the five buttons at the top and the two slits on the sides. The length also works well for both petite and taller frames. I’m 5’2″, and like that it isn’t too long.

I opted to pair the dress with a brown leather belt to break up it up a bit and give the dress more structure. However, you don’t necessarily have to do that. It’s just a fun way to make it your own, and add a little personal style. I’m wearing a size 70 in the belt.

WHAT TO WEAR FOR AIRPLANE TRAVEL

This whole look has great staple pieces to have in your wardrobe. I started with this long sleeve white t-shirt. It’s a great basic to layer with, whether it’s a vest, cardigan, blazer or a blanket shawl like I have on. And because the t-shirt is white, it can easily go with most any color. I love the fit of this particular one because it’s fitted, yet stretchy.

I paired the white tee with one of my favorite pair of jeans. They’re a great straight leg fit and aren’t too oversized or wide in the legs. These jeans come in a variety of washes and lengths to get that perfect fit: extra short, short, regular and long. I sized up in these to a 25 short and wearing the light wash.

WHAT TO WEAR FOR WEEKEND FAMILY ACTIVITIES

A basic long-sleeve tee is probably one of my top 10 wardrobe staples, simply because you can easily dress it up with a blazer or dress it down and wear with sweatpants.

These have been my go-to sweatpants. They’re high-waisted, so they’re ultra-flattering. And I usually tuck my tee in to give the overall look more structure. It also just makes the whole outfit look more put together.

WHAT TO WEAR TO THE OFFICE IN THE SPRING

The star of the show with this look is definitely this affordable trench. I talk a lot about must-have outerwear for different seasons. In the winter, I love to keep a puffer, wool coat and teddy coat in my closet, so I have options, depending on where I’m going.

For the springtime, a trench coat is a great staple to have as far as outerwear goes for the season. It’s lightweight and looks so chic. You can dress this up for work like I did here or you can wear with denim or a loungeset too.

Underneath the trench, I’m wearing an everyday poplin shirt. It has an oversized fit and longer in length. I opted to tuck the shirt into my trousers for a more structured look. However, you could also wear this shirt untucked with leggings or denim for a more casual outfit. I’m wearing an XXS, so I sized down one in this.

THE PERFECT LITTLE WHITE DRESS TO WEAR FOR EASTER

Spring fashion is about brightening up your wardrobe, and this outfit has all the colors of the spring season. This white pullover dress is under $35, and has the most stunning eyelet details carried throughout. The sleeves are 3/4 length with elastic cuff to be able to pull them up, if you’d like.

WHAT TO WEAR TO YOUR EASTER EGG HUNT

This two-piece cotton set has all the chic details I look for in an outfit, yet it’s incredibly comfortable. The top has a subtle puff sleeve that elevates the look. The collar also makes the outfit look a little more dressy. It has a cropped fit, but the shorts are high-waisted to keep you covered.

The shorts have an elastic waistband and pockets. I love the idea of mixing and matching these two pieces with other items in my closet too. I can see myself wearing the top with denim jeans and the shorts with a bodysuit and denim jacket.

WHAT TO WEAR ON A ROAD TRIP

Throughout the spring and summer, I trade joggers and sweatpants for something more warm-weather appropriate. These lounge shorts are a great alternative when it’s hot. They’re soft, comfortable and come in a few other colors. I wear my true size XS.

To compliment the shorts, I pair this ciniched half-zip sweatshirt with them. I love the white monochromatic look, and that the sweatshirt is more of a cropped fit, so it’s not covering the shorts. For a nice oversized fit, I sized up to a large from an XS.

WHAT TO WEAR TO A SPRING LUNCH WITH FRIENDS

This floral top is by English Factory and I love the subtle floral pattern carried throughout. I also really like the cropped fit because it meets the top of the high-rise jeans perfectly. The back has a smocked panel for a little give to get that perfect fit. Additionally, the sleeves have just the right amount of a short puff sleeve. This top fits me true to size, and I’m wearing an XS.

These block heels are going to be a go-to of mine throughout this spring and summer. Not only are they affordable, they’re also very comfortable. Additionally, the neutral color is perfect to pair with a variety of looks from denim to skirts and dresses.

WHAT TO WEAR TO A BRIDAL APPOINTMENT

You can’t beat a little white dress for all your bridal festivities or for a planning meeting. This particular one is from Pretty Neutral. It’s the Ruffled and Ready Mini Dress. The ruffle gives this casual dress a more elevated look, while still remaining comfortable. I love that it has pockets too. Because what dress isn’t better when it has pockets?

WHAT TO WEAR SHOPPING WITH FRIENDS

When I saw this floral patterned white shirt, I knew I had to have it. The sweetheart neckline is darling, paired with the puff-sleeve detail. I also love the triangle cut-outs on each side of the shirt. What makes this top even more flattering is the peplum silhouette. It has an elastic waistband for extra comfort. It runs true to size, and I’m wearing an XS.

I paired the floral top with these Agolde ’90s straight jeans. Because these don’t come in different lengths, I simply cuffed mine, and really like how they look this way. These high-rise jeans feature a button fly with a relaxed fit. For size reference, I sized down one to a 23 because they run a bit big.

So I rounded up some dresses that would be perfect for what to wear to a summer wedding. I included a variety of options for different dress codes, including an outdoor/garden wedding, cocktail attire or more formal.

HOW TO WEAR A FLORAL PRINT TO SUMMER WEDDINGS

This floral cape sleeve shift dress is as fun to wear as it is beautiful. The bold colors mixed with the floral print make this dress a show stopper. It has the ruffle detail along the bottom and comes up all along the sleeves, making it feel extra feminine and classic. Because it’s a shift-style dress, it’s bump-friendly too. This dress runs true to size, and I’m wearing a 0.

MONOCHROMATIC FOURTH OF JULY LOOK

A summer staple to have in your wardrobe is a white tank top or bodysuit. They’re versatile to wear with skirts, shorts, jeans or skorts. A tank top also makes a great layering piece to wear under denim jackets, blazers or under a sheer shirt.

Next, pair the white tank top with this white skort from Pretty Neutral. It has a functional tie waist and an elastic waistband. You could also dress this skort up a little with a white button down and tuck it in.
