What to Wear on a Road Trip

Spring and Summer Lounge Set

Throughout the spring and summer, I trade joggers and sweatpants for something more warm-weather appropriate. These lounge shorts are a great alternative when it’s hot. They’re soft, comfortable and come in a few other colors. I wear my true size XS.

To compliment the shorts, I pair this ciniched half-zip sweatshirt with them. I love the white monochromatic look, and that the sweatshirt is more of a cropped fit, so it’s not covering the shorts. For a nice oversized fit, I sized up to a large from an XS.

If you’re in the car, it’s nice to dress in layers in case your travel buddies like it a little chilly in the car. I’d recommend layering a basic white tee underneath in case you get hot as well. However you travel, whether by planes, trains, RVs or cars, dressing in layers is key.

On a road trip, you may find yourself getting in and out of the car while sightseeing. That’s why I love these Nike Air Max 90. The color combo is so much fun while also not being too over-the-top loud with colors. They’re also very comfortable for walking around in. These fit true to size for me.

Travel Bag

This YSL puffer bag is a great option to travel with because it’s a decent size to fit all your essentials in. However, you can easily carry it while you’re sightseeing and doesn’t feel too big for that purpose. I also like that this bag adds a little chic to the whole look. Because it’s a little dressy, it brings the outfit together.

Accessorize with a Black Hat

To finish the look, I accessorized with my favorite black baseball hat. You don’t have to worry about messing up your hair in the car, and can just throw your hat on. This hat comes in six other colors too.
